Jorge Velasco ’21, recently had lunch with his mentor, former boss and fellow TMI alum, Congressman Lamar Smith ’65, at the Capitol’s “Members Dining Room.” Jorge is currently a staffer for Senator Bill Cassidy who he interned for in Washington D.C. as a sophomore at TMI.
Tyler Brown ’10 married Joshua Arocha Bassett on March 16. The wedding was a true TMI event! Not only is the bride a TMI alumna but so is the father of the bride, Ernest Brown ’80 and the father of the groom, Juan Carlos Firmin Arocha ’80. The bride’s Godfather, Allan Rupe ’80, was also in attendance. Congratulations to the newlyweds!


Michael Watson ’89 retired in December 2022 from the United States Army as a Sergeant Major after 27 years of service. This photo is from one of his last deployments in Nigeria. Congratulations on your retirement!

Alumni Reception on Campus

Thank you to Alexis Elliott-Stabler ’06 for hosting a reception on campus for alumni from the classes of 1990-2010. The group enjoyed wine and snacks along with an amazing tour of the TMI Walker Innovation Center.
